LABOR DAY WEEK! Meatless Monday…but it’s Ice Cream!
Allright, so this week is all about Labor Day. It’s a huge holiday, it’s a 3-day weekend, it’s an excuse to have a huge BBQ at your house. It might be one of my favorite times of the year.
So we’re gonna start this week off the right way – with Desert! Ice Cream, to be specific and it’s also a Meatless Monday, so go figure!
Tell me you don’t want that. I’ve really been into discovering some great local, Nashville spots. And the place I got this ice cream is fantastic!
The Pied Piper Creamery is one of my favorite places in Nashville to get ice cream and I was delighted to know that they opened a new outpost of their famous East Nashville store in my backyard at Berry Hill! It’s a charming shop with fresh, warm, and homemade waffle cones and ice cream that is made daily. And they have a ton of flavors – very unique ones too.
My favorites? Banana Fanna Fo Fudding (Banana Pudding with Vanilla wafers) and (blue)Berry Hill – a great combination and the flavors I have pictured.
When you are grilling out on Labor Day, you don’t have to think about making desert. Go buy some great local ice cream and it’ll be the perfect end to your Labor Day menu.
